Pan American Hockey Federation

The Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) web site is a bilingual web site which used to be maintained in HTML code by a single dedicated volunteer. The Altius platform has removed this bottleneck by distributing the maintenance to multiple users who can directly publish content in their own domain of involvement, without technical knowledge.

This is especially beneficial during continental competitions, when local volunteers can post results, pictures, videos, etc… without delay, dramatically enhancing the timeliness of the coverage and the number of visitors from all over the continent.

The Altius platform contains tailor made entities covering the gamut of our activity and enforcing standards specific to our situation (exact mirror site in English and in Spanish). The user interface is easy to understand, and the resulting web site is graphically pleasing with a standardized presentation that is adjustable without difficulty.

With our old CMS, simple updates were frustrating, time consuming and difficult to format.  The Altius platform allows us to make updates quickly, upload and integrate photos automatically and publish pre-formatted content.  As a result, our website is up-to-date and consistent so our visitors know what to expect.  The time we used to spend trying to format simple content is now used to create fresh, engaging graphics and elements.  This keeps our visitors coming back for more.”
